On the 14th and 15th of April, Campus Rangers International School in KL held its first-ever scouts camp, “Uniform Units Camp”. The camp was an exciting opportunity for students to learn new skills, make new friends and challenge themselves in new ways. The camp was attended by students from various classes, all of whom were excited to participate in the activities planned!

The inaugural day of the Uniform Units Camp commenced with a warm welcome speech delivered by our esteemed principal, Ms Angie, which was followed by a comprehensive briefing on the house rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Under the guidance of Mr Chan Zi Lie, the first activity of the camp commenced with a session on basic first aid skills, including CPR and emergency response techniques such as fire safety and evacuation. This session was particularly important as it provided students with knowledge that could save lives in the future.

After the first aid training session, students were given a hands-on lesson on how to set up tents, which was followed by an entertaining evening of games and laughter around the campfire. The campfire served as an excellent platform for students to establish camaraderie and foster friendships with their peers. As the night progressed, the excitement continued with an exhilarating night activity around the school grounds, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The second day of the camp began with an exciting radio amateur session, where students learned how to communicate using walkie-talkies. The radio amateur session was led by experienced facilitators from the BP Pathfinder Movement. Students were taught how to tie different types of knots and how to use a compass. These skills are essential for outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and orienteering.

Throughout the two-day camp, students were constantly challenged to push their boundaries and try new things. The activities were carefully designed to help students develop important life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.

The success of the camp would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of the school’s teachers, students, and parents. Their support and enthusiasm made the camp a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.

In conclusion, the Uniform Units Camp was an excellent opportunity for students to learn, grow, and challenge themselves. The camp provided students with a platform to develop essential life skills, make new friends, and build lasting memories. Our IGCSE school is committed to providing students with such opportunities to help them become well-rounded individuals. We look forward to hosting similar events in the future, and we encourage students to take full advantage of these opportunities at Campus Rangers International School!
