Celebrating Diversity at Campus Rangers International School

The school came alive with a vibrant and colourful atmosphere as they celebrated the much-anticipated inaugural International Day on the 21st of July. The primary aim of this special event was to promote inclusivity, cultural awareness and foster a sense of unity among the students, teachers, and staff.

During the half-day event, there were booths that showcased foods from various countries, a jumble sale organized by staff and teachers, decor and antiques from representing countries, charitable endeavours, lively performances, and many more!

The primary and secondary levels took on the task of representing different countries or regions. They adorned themselves in beautiful traditional attire and skillfully crafted food booths that authentically showcased the unique flavours and cultural richness of each respective nation.

We were also extremely fortunate to have the support of parents, who wholeheartedly joined in to lend a helping hand. Their involvement added an extra layer of authenticity and warmth to the event, as they shared their own cultural insights and family traditions, making International Day at our school an even more special and inclusive occasion.

Visitors had the chance to sample a plethora of delicacies from different countries. From the spicy and savoury flavours of kimchi from South Korea to the aromatic lamb rice from Mongolia, taste buds were taken on a delightful journey of discovery. The mango sticky rice and tom yum from Thailand left everyone craving more, while the authentic Japanese desserts added a touch of sweetness to the event.

The jumble sale which was one of the highlights of the event, saw the school’s staff and teachers contributing preloved items, books, toys, and other treasures. Visitors eagerly explored the collection, knowing that every purchase contributed to a good cause. The funds raised from the jumble sale were donated to World Vision International Organization, a charity known for its efforts in providing aid and support to underprivileged communities around the world.

Beyond the vibrant booths and captivating performances, the inaugural International Day at Campus Rangers IGCSE International School was a celebration of unity and compassion. It demonstrated the power of diversity in creating a harmonious and respectful community. Despite our difference, the event served as a reminder that we are all connected as one family.
